People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it. — Simon Sinek

Understanding the reason why you choose to do something is the first step to doing anything successfully.

Entrepreneurship is something many of us decide to pursue for one reason or another. It can be extremely rewarding but as the old saying goes…

Nothing good comes easy.

Entrepreneurship looks glamorous on instagram but speak to almost any self made entrepreneur and you will quickly find out that it’s probably one of the most difficult things you can ever decide to do.

Take creating content for instance…

Entrepreneurship has become a very glamorised word in the 21st century. With the rise of TV shows such as ‘My Super Sweet 16’ in the 2000’s where spoiled kids of super wealthy celebrities have outrageous birthday parties to the new space of instagram where everyone with a camera phone can exaggerate their lives to impress their followers. So many people lust for that picture perfect life they see on social media. You can literally pay for photoshoots on parked private jets to really impress all those people you don’t know.

For most it’s a nice dream that they have subconsciously…

Many people fail in life because they believe in the adage: If you don’t succeed, try something else. But success eludes those who follow such advice.

The dreams that have come true did so because people stuck to their ambitions. — John C. Maxwell

A lust for life.

Hitting my thirties was not a celebratory moment for me. I woke up, looked around and realised I was in the same place I had always been as far as my success was concerned. I had achieved a few things like starting a family and having a decent roof over my head. Things that I am…

I don’t think there is a person in this world that doesn’t dream of a life filled with more success. Whether it’s with more money, more adventure or more love. There are so many things we all wish we could have more of.

The question is. How is it that some of us manage to get closer to the success we look for, while others seem to get nowhere?

Could it be that some people are more gifted than others? Or some have more opportunity and are in more privileged positions. Possibly. But putting the blame on other people is…

When you dilute your energy, spreading your activities in many directions, the result is inertia. When you focus your efforts, the result is solid, predictable movement in the direction of your focus. Thus, you accelerate business growth. — Mary Doize

You are at the starting line in a marathon. You envision yourself pacing through each lap with ease and taking the victory. Standing on the podium with a smug grin as if you saw victory all along. The gun goes and you start running. Confident. Full of energy and ready to win.

Then you start to sweat, your heart is…

Budget — an estimate of income and expenditure for a set period of time.

The word budget is something I have unintentionally avoided for a very long time. It’s not that I never knew the value of budgeting. It was more to do with the tediousness of the task. And a slight feeling of the uneasiness of confronting all my debt, expenses and income. (Or lack thereof).

For some reason I always ended up with more month at the end of the money. Scratching my head in confusion. Thinking ‘what did I actually spend any of it on?’ …

Financial freedom is something that everyone aspires to. Of course it has a different meaning to everyone. But for the most part we all want to be able to pay our bills, have some fun and live a money worries free life.

Yet having more month at the end of the money is a place that too many of us know too well. We have become a nation of big borrowers and big spenders and worry about paying it back later (er’s).

I used to avoid the letters that came through the door as if the problem would somehow disappear.

If you don’t control your habits, your habits end up controlling you.

I’ve recently started becoming more conscious of how I use my mornings. It used to be a case of waking up to my 3rd attempt of hitting the snooze button. Sitting at the end of my bed for a few minutes contemplating whether to call in sick that day for some much needed rest.

Upon realising that it wouldn’t be a good idea. I get up to slowly prepare my outfit for the day. (When I say prepare, what I mean is I grab the first thing that…
